The 21st ESCON Transfer of Knowledge Conference will take place at the
University of Bordeaux from September 2nd to September 4th, 2019.
ESCON's main aim is to promote European research collaboration in social cognition. The annual conferences are particularly instrumental for building cutting edge collaborative research programs as well as for the training, promotion, and networking of junior researchers.
ESCON is currently between funding programs. This means that in order to make ESCON 2019 possible, we are contacting potential sponsors but we still have to ask for a participation fee. Registration fees should remain modest and will include lunch and dinners. However, participants are asked to self-organize their accommodations. If you plan to attend, make sure to make reservations early! Bordeaux is a very touristic city, especially in Summer.
Bordeaux is a beautiful, lively, historic city situated in South West of the France. It is easily accessible by plane (Mérignac airport, 45 minutes from the center by bus), train or car. The University building where the conference will take place is located in the center of the Bordeaux (place de la Victoire) with restaurants and cafes (pedestrian quarters) just nearby. Ocean beaches are less than one hour by car, as are some of prestigious vineyards.
Everyone who self-identifies as a social cognition researcher is encouraged to submit their work for presentation by May 15th, 2019. Those who wish to attend the meeting without presenting a paper are encouraged to register by June 15th, 2019. Finally, PhD candidates developing cutting-edge research are encouraged to apply to the Best Paper Award (see link on the website).
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Bordeaux!
